Trying to fix a weird game problem. 99% of the game works perfect, but one particular clan interface refuses to connect at all. Wargaming support says that the packet loss on hop 8 is the cause of my problems. But the final hop looks great and hop 8 doesn't really seem to exist, no IP, no nothing.

Is this really Comcast causing my problems or is Wargaming just refusing to admit that their game is broken?

Thanks for getting in touch!

When you see a completely blank hop, like at hop #8 in the results you've posted here - it's usually an indication that the device at that location is configured to not respond to ICMP TTL expired requests. We've actually got a knowledge base article that goes over this exact scenario in a bit more detail - which may prove helpful:

Your *biggest* concern should always be what's happening at the final destination in your route. If you're noticing any patterns of latency or packet loss there, then you can go back see if the pattern starts at any earlier hops (and carries through your entire route). If you're seeing packet loss at an intermediate hop that *isn't* carrying through to the final destination, then it likely isn't anything to worry about. If you're interested, we cover this idea in a bit more detail here:

Hopefully this helps out. If you have any other questions, or if there's anything else we can do to be of assistance - please let us know!

Best wishes,

-Gary
