Is there any way to add a certificate to the PingPlotter Pro web server?

I have a username and password setup, but if I'm transmitting it in clear text, that's not going to do me any good.

Hello,

This is a great question! We don't have an officially supported way of providing SSL encryption, some research yielded an option that might work for you. This option is to enable somewhat of a reverse proxy using nginx and an SSL certificate obtained by you. Ultimately, since the web server is hosted on your machine, you'll have to secure the machine itself.

A great option would be to follow the instructions found at the following:
https://cnedelcu.blogspot.com/2014/10/https-with-nginx-setting-up-ssl.html

For this option, you still will have to obtain an SSL certificate - and Let's Encrypt is a great free CA if you'd like to go this route. Here's their site:
https://letsencrypt.org/

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with or if you have any questions along the way!
