We inadventently undock a couple of tabs and frankly have no idea what the incantation is to get them docked again. The only topic and the manual really didn't seem to work out.

Thanks.... Bob

Hi, Bob.

Did you try hair of newt? smile

With version 3.40p, we added some additional visual feedback about docking. If you drag an undocked tab anywhere on top of the main PingPlotter window, it should show you where the tab can be docked (and moving towards that direction will dock it there).

If that doesn't help you solve it, maybe send a screenshot to support - it's possible that there might be something inconsistent in the PingPlotter workspace file that's causing things to not work right.

- Pete

Go figure we started with virgins (we ran out quickly...)

So the exact sceanio is we are running as a service (XP).... We click on the tray icon and get this:

If we click on the tray icon again our trace appears:

So we grab it and drag it around to this position and drop it as shown here:

and we arrive here:

Again..... If we just double click the top bar on the floating frame we get this:

Which isn't what we had in mind either. In fact the default layout works just fine for us if we could ever get back there!

Thanks.... Bob

Gocha. Thanks for the screenshots. Instead of dropping it on the top area, move your mouse right over the middle "tab" icon portion right in the center of the UI and drop on that. This should drop it into the traditional "default" position. I've highlighted that area below.

As a fall-back backup plan (not nearly as much fun as sacrificing virgins, of course), with only one running target, you can also save off that target's data (File -> Save Sample Set...) and then use the Workspace -> Clear Workspace menu to return everything to default - then reload your saved data and resume your trace.

Aye Laddie! That appears to work very well..... Given the rest of the program made so much sense we figured that the answer would be that simple.... Slap on forehead smile

Perhaps, in order to relieve the pressure on threatened species, you may wish to make sure to point out that if the mouse pointer (don't worry about where the frame you are dragging is)is over the blue portion of a reference point releasing the button will attach it to either the edge or centred on the desk area.....

Thanks for getting us off on the right track.....

Bob
