I can't figure out why I am using the wrong IP address. None of the IP addresses listed are the one that I am using. I am on an Ethernet connection. My brain is fried. Could someone help?

I'm not 100% what you mean by the wrong IP address - it looks like all the IPs in there are valid! Could this perhaps be because you're using IPv6? If you'd like, you can try to type into the trace bar, "ipv4:google.com" without the quotes and that should give you some more familiar IP addresses.

If that's not what you're talking about, let me know and I'll gladly look into it!

My IP address is not listed here either. I don't recognize those addresses or the IPv6 addresses.

edit: As far as I understand, the first hop should be my IP address. Is that correct?

I seem to spend much more time on the unknown IP than I do on my own.
