I think I have a problem with my dsl connection, I have a regular patterm of a couple of packets (around 8 packets @ a time)at a time being dropped at least every 30 seconds less, I think its a problem with one of my ISP's routers, but of course they deny this. I have been having a long ongoing battle with my ISP, which resulting in them saying "sorry we dont see any packetloss", argh!... they make me so mad some times <img src="/forums/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />

I have just come across Ping Plotter, but I need some help looking at the data, and finding where exactly the problem is? Can I email one of these pp2 files to you so, so you could have a look at it? Also are there any recommended settings I should be using? How long should I trace for, how often? etc At the momment Im tracing a game server <img src="/forums/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" /> Please help

You're absolutely welcome to email data to support@pingplotter.com. Ideally, you'd have 24 hours of data collected, but 4 hours is OK too. 24 hours gives us the opportunity to look for trending data based on the time of the day.

Tracing to a game server is good - especially if that's a server that you're actually using and are unhappy with the network performance to. Tracing every 5 seconds is probably a good start here, based on the conditions you mention.

Thx for the reply, I have just emailed my pp2 file and it has about 9 hours worth of data, I hope you can make more sense of it then I can <img src="/forums/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />
