Once in a while ping plotter will keep showing no reply for a host even after the connection has come back, but if I do a regular ping to that host, then ping plotter starts to see the reply again, any ideas? <img src="/forums/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

This is an issue we *occasionally* see (I've seen it on one of our test systems here - although not for some time now), but isn't reproducible enough to really get a good handle on what's happening. We've done a number of things with Ping Plotter to get around it, but it seems like it has something to do with Windows and its network stack.

We've seen this mostly when a connection goes down completely (ie: all hops stop responding because of a problem in the local device). Is this what you're seeing?

What operating system are you using?

In the last case I have seen it, there was only 1 hop, we are using a bridged service for some circuits so the remote device seems local. Actually, I lost some routed sites at the same time, but the 1st hop in the path was ok, and ping plotter got stuck only on some of the bridged ones.
I am running ping plotter on a Windows XP Pro machine
