I downloaded the free version and when doing a trace I am missing the info for each hop. I see 100% packet loss at each hop but it does not show the IP address or DNS name. It also doesn't plot on the graphs. I see the 1st hop and the last but nothing between. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong.

This sounds like a problem where your router at hop 1 is blocking ICMP TTL Expired packets.

Often, updating the firmware bios can solve this, or possibly changing some packet settings in the firewall to allow ICMP through.

Excellent info. That was the problem. I needed to enable my Netgear router to allow response to pings. Now I see all hops except hop 2 which is fine. Thanks for the quick answer.
