ping plotter 2.40

recently I upgraded 2.31 to 2.40
never had this problem before

I used ping plotter to monitor a wireless cell phone
data connection, which as wireless connections go will
drop periodicaly.

Recently using v2.40 after a few too many drops, ping
plotter started saying none of my destinations were
reachable. I found this strange because my browser was
still working over the wireless connection.

I tried using windows 'ping' from the command line at the
error it gave was "no resources available" (4 times) in
place of where it normally gives me the ping times.

Is this something others have reported? Is it possible a
problem due to upgrade instead of fresh install?

I used v2.31 in this same setup for 5 months and never
encountered this problem before so I think it is related
to v2.40.

This is the first report we've heard of that. Odd.

This likely has nothing to do with upgrading instead of clean install - there's really nothing that overlaps in a way that should affect this.

I'm assuming that rebooting helped. Had it been extra-long since your last reboot? Keep an eye on this and let us know if you have it happen again.

One thing to check on is to make sure you're Packet Type: Default or Packet Type: Windows ICMP.DLL. The other methods don't work well on Windows 9x.

Thanks for the report - keep us informed on any other symptoms you see.
