Our internet has been dropping intermittently for weeks. I can find no rhyme or reason to it. I am trying to learn through the PingPlotter tool but I just can't make sense of it to know what the cause could be. I've tried rebooting everything repeatedly, checked connections, put a fan on the modem, and bought a new wifi router. If anything the problem has gotten worse. Can it be told by this share page if it is an ISP issue? They give us such a run around when I call that I'd love to be confident when I speak to them to tell them there is something wrong with their equipment if there indeed is. I'm appreciative of any help!

Hey, thanks for reaching out!

Looking at the data in your share page, I do agree that your connection has been having some pretty major issues. In particular, you’re seeing a lot of packet loss, which seems to be starting at hop 2 and carrying through to your final hop.

You captured data for over an hour, and every time packets were lost, it seemed to be starting at hop 2. To me, this indicates a problem at the border between your local network and your ISP’s network.

If you’d like to reach out to your ISP about this issue, I’d hold on to your share page to present to them, and I’d also recommend checking out these pages before contacting them:

If this leaves you with any questions, please feel free to reach back out!

Thanks,
Zackary
