Is there a way to fire an alert if a remote agent can't be reached?

I recently had a situation where I did not get an alert about one of our site to site VPNs being down because Pingplotter Pro hadn't been able to connect to the remote agent for a few days due to a firewall change, so no alert occurred.

To alert on the remote agent, set up another trace from your PingPlotter Pro instance (using ICMP or some non-remote agent protocol) tracing to your remote agent. Then set up your alert on *that* target.

We briefly mention this suggestion in the remote agent documentation (http://www.pingplotter.com/manual/pro/remote_trace.html), but that could probably use a revision to make that technique more obvious.

Please let us know if that leaves you with questions.
