Sort Order - 09/24/08 07:49 AM

Hi
Have just installed Multiping by recommendation as a replacement for another app, and looks perfect for me so far!
I would like to ask about the sort order, if I sort by column PL%, as although the packet loss stats are not changing much, the order of hosts with NO packet loss is jumping around all over the place!
Is there a secondary sort field I do not have access to?
If so, what is it, so I can understand whats happening! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Also, I do not know if multiping is still being developed, but if so, is it possible that when sorting on Current Response column, that ERRs and blanks get listed AFTER the highest values, and not BEFORE the smallest values?

Many thanks for a great app!

Hello.

When sorted by packet loss, the second sort column is DNS Name. If those are equal as well, then the sort order might change - it doesn't sort again by a third column. If you have blank DNS names (-------), try renaming them by right-clicking the target and selecting "Rename selected target." Once you have different names for the targets, the movement should stop.

The next release (due very soon now) will fix the ERR values so they sort after the highest latency, rather than before.

Best wishes,
Pete
