Monitor mail server

Hello.

Is there a way to monitor smtp server? My smtp server's provider has blocked ICMP protocol so I could not use ping for monitoring. Thanks!

SMTP uses standard TCP traffic, on port 25. You can use PingPlotter's TCP capabilities to most SMTP servers to get good statistics. We have general information about TCP here:

(use port 25 instead of 80, of course).

It works. I've created new configuration with smtp "ping" and now I could monitor SMTP and usual servers in same time.
