Login prompt that allows saving in iOS safari

Quite often I use my iPhone or iPad to log into the web version of pingplotter pro and it would great if you could change the username and password prompt so it allowed the saving of the login info in safari. I'm not sure what it is called but on other sites that do allow saving of login info, there isn't a popup window for the login info. The username and password boxes are built into the web page. I believe this is called forms based authentication.
