Default selection for the Image Type.

Hi there,

I could swear that back in 2.60 days, it was possible to have the Image type defaulted to GIF as opposed to PNG.

I prefer to save as GIF.

Can we get the option back sometime please?

The default file type (png, gif or bmp) comes from the current configuration's auto-save image settings. Even if you're not using auto-save, the File -> Save menu option will look at the auto-save settings to see what image type is specified there, and use that for the default manually-saved image type as well.

Changing that setting should get what you're after (I think). Please let us know if it doesn't.
