Hi.

The PingPlotter uninstall requires two files in the Ping Plotter directory - unwise.exe and install.log. If either of these files are missing, the uninstall won't work.

If the install.log file was removed somehow, probably the easiest way to uninstall is actually to run the install again. This will recreate the uninstaller and the install.log file, and then the uninstall routine should run without error.

Alternately, if both the "Unwise.exe" and "Install.log" files exist in your PingPlotter directory, then you can manually invoke the uninstaller. To do this, just use Windows explorer to browse to your Ping Plotter directory, then locate the "unwise.exe" program, and launch it. This should run the uninstall and use the install.log file in your PingPlotter directory.

This should give you two ways to do the uninstall.

Best wishes,
Pete

The uninstall does not know where to find the Install.log file. At the end of your command line (SPACE), then type the location of the Install.log file. This should solve your problem. (Example) Run line= "C:\Program FIles\Test\Unwise.exe" C:\Program Files\Test\Install.log

Note: The Unwise.exe file must reside in the same location as the Install.log file.

You didn't offer any situational information around this error. Did you try the steps in the post you responded to? It sounds like the install log doesn't exist there (maybe it was manually deleted, or some files were copied and/or moved).

Try reinstalling (to the same directory you originally installed), then uninstall. That should solve the problem. If not, please let us know more about the situation (ie: install directory, what steps you've tried, etc.).
