I am in Africa. Started using PingPlotter on problem ISP a few days ago. Hops to destination sites were 14.

Switched to a new ISP today and hops are only 4.

Can that be correct that I can get to digikey, google, youtube and facebook in only 4 hops?

Have I failed to enable something in PingPlotter?

This is a really good question - and props to you for noticing this difference! This is completely possible, especially with a different ISP. ISPs have internal routing rules that forward traffic to their destinations, and different ISPs may have longer or shorter routes. This can be dependent on ISP location, size of ISP, or many other factors. You are likely using PingPlotter just right - and you used it to pinpoint some differences between ISPs! That's not something we see very often, and is pretty neat if I do say so.
