I am a small WISP. I have a handful of microwave hops that I want to see performance on. Is it possible to use ping plotter to test the internal hops in my network?

Hello!

It's honestly tough to say for certain without a better knowledge of the devices that are making up the those internal hops. If the devices are configured to have an IP address, and also configured to show up in a traceroute (if they'll decrement the TTL on a packet once receiving it) - then they'll show up in PingPlotter.

If they have an IP address, but *aren't* configured to show up in traceroute, you can still run a trace to them directly to see if they're experiencing any issues - which may be helpful in your troubleshooting efforts.

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

Best wishes,

-Gary
