Is this showing an issue? I am getting packet loss at my first hop, 192.168.0.1, which is my own router.

I've tried changing Ethernet cables, uninstalling network card drivers with delete driver checked and reinstalling from website, cycling cable modem and router but it continues to happen.

The destination isn't affected so should I just ignore this?

When I directly poll my router, there is no packet loss. See bottom image.

Thank you very much for any help in advance!

Hey Bobby,

The packet loss that you're seeing at hop #1 isn't necessarily anything to worry about here (I actually run into this exact issue on my home network quite often). Some routers just aren't fond of ICMP TTL expired requests - and may down prioritize them (or not respond to them at all). As long as that pattern of packet loss isn't carrying through to the next hop, or though to your final destination - then it's usually nothing to worry about. We cover this topic in a bit more detail here:

And we cover a few more aspects of this scenario here:

If you have any questions, just let us know!

Best wishes,

-Gary

Thank you very much for your response. I now know that the issue I have filed a new post about is not on my end.
