I recently installed a Netgear WGR614 router, and this is what I get for pingplotter readings now instead of the graph which shows the hops and thier integrity. Any ideas?

It looks like your router is blocking ICMP TTL Expired packets - this is almost certainly the router at hop 1.

We discuss that here:

Check your router configuration and see if there is any way to allow additional types of ICMP packets through.

Interesting. That seems to be the case, and I understand it. I checked through all of the settings, and there does'nt seem to be a way to enable that within the software that comes with this particular router. Must be coded into the firewall. Its not that I'm having bad connection issues to a lot of places, I'm having trouble with just one server loosing key packets. I still think PP is the greatest thing since sliced bread where trace programs are concerned. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks.

Check to see if there's a bios update for this router. Linksys has a pretty good history of correcting problems like this eventually.
