once i saw these errors i changed the file associations under an administrative account so that .pp2 file type would be associated with pingplotter.exe. at this time im under a limited user account and i ran ping plotter then closed it and checked the log file again and i continue to receive the same error message. then i checked the file type associations again in windows explorer and pingplotter.exe is no longer associating with .pp2. why is this happening?
